Jon Maichel Thomas

Jon is a Creative Director with a knack for bringing complex, emerging, and story-driven projects to life – across digital, web, social, content, and video. 

As a Commercial Director and User Experience Director, he has led projects for MIIR, Target, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medtronic, UMN Fairview, Earth Justice, Popular From Studio, Olson, and Bass Pro Shops, to name a few. 

Thomas had worked on over twenty feature films as a title designer and VFX artist including, The Coen Brothers' Intolerable Cruelty and Lady Killers, Robert Altman's The Company, Mike Nichols' Angels in America, Phil Harder's Tuscaloosa, Analyze That, Chicago, Prey for Rock N Roll, Syfy's Hover, 400 Days, All These Small Moments, Tested, and Ghost from the Machine.

Thomas produced the critically acclaimed indie feature Ghost From the Machine and the award-winning feature The Sand Box. He also wrote and directed the award-winning short Photos & Drawings and The Great White Storm.

As an active member of the Minnesota design & film community, he enjoys teaching motion graphics at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. 

Thomas is also the co-founder of MadeDaily, a secure and compliant website platform.
